Jesus’ life was not “recorded” by “thousands of followers across the land.”  No one “recorded” the life of Jesus, at least during his lifetime.  There is not a shred of evidence, not even a suggestion, that any documents were produced during Jesus’ lifetime by his followers.  Moreover, even a generation or two later when Christians did begin writing down some of their traditions and stories about Jesus, it is a wild exaggeration to say that “thousands” did so.  Perhaps a few dozen did.
