Only in Dan Brown’s strange accounting system does it make sense to say that “Constantine upgraded Jesus’ status almost four centuries after Jesus’ death.”  Jesus died around 30 C.E.  The Council of Nicaea took place in 325 C.E.  That’s 295 years, which is not quite three centuries in the minds of most people, but “almost four” in Brown’s.
